Ace
If you are looking for a game that will help improve your throwing accuracy, then Ace is for you! Ace is generally played on an electronic board, but the rules can be accomodated for a traditional board. For the electronic board, a random number will appear for each player and each turn. A player must hit the number shown to score points. Points go up by hitting the number more than once. For instance: Single segment=1 point, double=2 points, triple=3 points, single bullseye=4 points, double bullseye=6 points. If a player misses, then the score does not increase. Highest score wins. To accommodate a non-electronic board, simply use numbered cards from a card game and take turns drawing. Make sure the card game you choose has all of the numbers you need for darts.
Count Up
This is a very simple game that's easy to learn. Players take turns throwing the darts. The points for each throw are determined by the number each dart hits. The first player that reaches the pre-set cumulative total wins!
High Score
Another simple game, High Score has three rounds and the player with the highest score at the end wins! It is great for big groups!
Nine Dart Century
Players begin with nine darts that are thrown in three turns. Within these turns, each player must score 100 points or come as close to 100 as possible. Players who go over 100 are "busted" and are out of the game. Any dart that hits outside the scoring area will bring the player's score down to zero and he must start over again. Darts that bounce out are not penalized, but do not count any points.
These are just a few of the exciting dart games waiting for you. Don't think that the only point to playing darts is hitting the bull's eye. |
